Although we are pretty much still melting here in the Summer heat and the three big Samgyetang days are gone (yes, there were 3 specific hottest dates that celebrates the irony of cooling off with drinking hot ginseng soup)... these are some of the shots we took to market our abalones for this year.
It was also our first time cooking samgyetang- we bought a whole chicken, a pack of prepacked herbs and a fat ginseng from the market and boiled it till the smell of samgyetang was legit in the air.
Like bakuteh, it was fairly simple to make although the cost seems to be higher than what you can get at the restaurants.
Hmm...well, nothing beats homemade ey?
