I was walking home from the office this afternoon and thought how basic my day is moving like another adulting day...
Then I remember even when we were in school, we don't get to skip school just because it was our birthday.
I know it doesn't sound mindblowing but it made me feel a little better about it.
Life indeed goes on as usual- I woke up on my birthday to fix breakfast, told John to wish me "happy birthday" again (because wishing me at midnight didn't count),
hung the laundry, went to work, came home to fix lunch and back to work in front of the computer.
I have a whole basin of dishes to wash before cooking dinner and I wanted to take some time just to post this now, to say that you are loved Jessica and for the days when you feel like life doesn't matter... remember the verse that popped up today:
Jeremiah 1:5 New International Version (NIV)
5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
With that said, I hope this new year will be special in a good way.
Special enough for me to sit back and go...WOW!
So, help me Jesus!
